Where to Donate Goods In Virginia Beach

The holidays are a season of giving. And if you’re thinking of those less fortunate, we have compiled a list of organizations that will accept your donations and put them to good use. So whether you’re looking to get organized and make more room in your home, or you’re feeling charitable and want to help people in your community, these donation sites are exactly what you need. 

 

Habitat For Humanity

The Habitat for Humanity South Hampton Roads Re-Store is like a thrift store for building materials and appliances. This organization has been building homes for people in need and revitalizing neighborhoods since 1976. They will accept donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances and building materials. Goodwill

Proceeds from Goodwill thrift stores provide employment training and job placement services for people in your community. Goodwill typically accepts clean and gently used clothing/accessories, appliances, furniture, toys and electronics.

CHKD Thrift

With 22 locations throughout Hampton Roads, these thrift stores benefit the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. These stores accept donations of clothing, furniture, electronics, toys, artwork, shoes, books, bicycles, DVSs and sporting goods. Many locations have outdoor drop-off bins available 24/7, or you can schedule a pickup by phone

 

Samaritan House

The Samaritan House helps people free themselves from domestic violence, human trafficking and homelessness. They regularly seek donations of cleaning supplies, toiletries, kitchen items, food, clothing and baby supplies. Learn more about donations and where to drop off here

Judeo Christian Outreach Center

Judeo Christian Outreach Center works to break the cycle of hunger and homeless in our community. While the JCOC does not accept gently used clothing, they do accept office supplies, office equipment, kitchen flatware and place settings, pots and pans, and vehicles. Donations may be made by appointment at the Virginia Beach location:
