The heat may be cranking up this summer, but that doesn't mean you must spend it all at home. Now is the best time of the year to go out for a swim, and there are excellent places to visit nearby. Here are three pools to check out near our Virginia Beach, VA apartments: 

Pembroke Meadows Pool

PMRC is a private, non-profit swim club that has been active in the community for over 50 years. Pembroke Meadows Pool has many amenities, including the following: a 25-meter pool, large sundeck, diving board, and fenced-off kiddie pool. Apply on their website to become a member today. In addition, each member can bring a guest for a $6 fee.

Larkspur Community Pool

The Larkspur Swim & Racquet Club boasts a community pool for its members. The 5-lane pool has a deep end and a one-meter diving board. Get a season membership for a one-time payment, or use a monthly payment plan. Larkspur also offers private swimming lessons for $35 per lesson; you do not have to be a member to take them. 

Bow Creek Recreation Center

The Bow Creek Recreation Center is a LEED-certified facility with a gym, group fitness studio, and indoor pool. The pool has amenities such as lap lines, a slide, and a diving board. Lastly, it is accessible with an ADA lift and a submersible wheelchair. Get a day pass for only $10 or a membership to make the most of the rec center.
