Where You Can Play Volleyball in Virginia Beach

Whether you take to the volleyball court weekly or haven't spiked a ball since high school, several facilities in Virginia Beach welcome all abilities to come and show off their skills. Those near our Town Center apartments include:

Virginia Beach Field House

At approximately 175,000 square feet, the Virginia Beach Field House is one of the largest indoor sports facilities on the East Coast. It's also home to fun adult volleyball leagues. You can bring out your competitive side or join a team offering a more social environment. In addition, the Virginia Beach Field House also provides drop-in volleyball sessions. The weekly schedule is updated on Mondays, and the cost is five dollars at the door.

Tidewater Volleyball Association

Founded in 1965, the Tidewater Volleyball Association (TBA) is one of the oldest and largest organizations on the East Coast. It strives to promote volleyball in the Tidewater area while positively impacting our local community. TBA is home to some of the most competitive hard court and beach volleyball leagues in Hampton Roads. All skill levels can come and bump, set, and spike. Along with the leagues, players can also enjoy open play. The gym is open on Sunday evenings and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Virginia Beach Sports Center

A new state-of-the-art facility, the Virginia Beach Sports Center is where athletes can test their skills at the highest level. The adult volleyball leagues range from recreational to competitive. They provide a fun, engaging setting, and players often become friends. The nine-week season consists of 18 regular-season games and single elimination playoffs.

When you've finished a game of volleyball, sample some wings at a local restaurant. They range from mild to extra hot and are best enjoyed with a pint of beer.
