Have an Unforgettable Day at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk

Spanning three miles from 2nd to 40th Street, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk features everything from outdoor restaurants to fascinating museums. It's about 16 minutes from our Virginia Beach apartments and always offers something new to discover. Here is a sample of what you can enjoy:

Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum

When the city of Virginia Beach purchased the historic de Witt Cottage in 1992, the Back Bay Wildfowl Guild thought it would be the perfect place to display wildfowl art and carvings. The guild joined forces with the Virginia Beach Foundation, and the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum was born. During your visit, you can meet the carvers. The talented artists each boast their own style and enjoy sharing their knowledge.

Virginia Beach Fishing Pier

Cast a line at the Fishing Pier right off of Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Welcoming both locals and visitors alike, it's where you can catch species like Spanish mackerel and red drum. You'll also find the Pier Tackle Shop and can rent rods for ten dollars. The pier is open from 6:00 a.m. to midnight (seasonal and weather permitting).

Catch 31

Finally, end your visit with a meal at Catch 31. With incredible ocean views, it's no wonder that it's one of the most popular restaurants near the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Catch 31 also offers views of Neptune Park, and you can enjoy your meal around the open-air fire pit. Offerings include crab cakes, fish & chips, and grilled Angus beef filet mignon. They pair well with the Pinot Grigio or a pint of Vienna Lager.

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk is just one of the attractions you can enjoy as a resident of our Virginia Beach apartments. You can also explore the Norfolk Botanical Garden and more. To call Columbus Station home, please contact us. We would love for you to see our community firsthand.
